The world is changing around the clock and the Internet had proven to be the fastest and cheapest way to communicate on a local, national and global level.

While direct marketing had proven to be a focused, trackable and measurable way to connect with consumers, e-mail marketing brought the advantage of being less expensive while providing an instantaneous message delivery to prospects and clients.  Straight-forward and affordable, e-mail marketing is a tool allowing businesses to contact customers directly and with a purpose.

While helping businesses build a relationship with their customers, e-mail marketing concentrates the company’s efforts on keeping in touch with clients and continuously reminding them of their services and products.  While providing a relatively lower cost for global reach, messages through e-mail marketing can be interactive through the use of graphics, music and/or whatever is necessary to engage the recipient and capture prospects’ attention.  Adding a personalized touch to the e-mail message would help create a special connection with the clients.

E-mail marketing can take different forms including newsletters, announcements and promotions.  And while newsletters are periodical containing news and information, promotional emails are occasionally used to increase sales.  Depending on the business, one or all of these could be beneficial.

Through e-mail marketing, businesses can announce special offers encouraging recipients to take action by making a purchase or signing-up for a service. In addition, businesses can aim at developing a long-term relationship with their readers by adding value and including content informing and benefiting the recipient.  Have a purpose in mind before developing the e-mail marketing piece and define the target before sending it out.

When planning to send out an e-mail message, take scheduling into consideration.  Blast emailing on a Friday evening, for example, might not be a good idea.  Recipients might not check their email over the weekend and those who do and become intrigued by a call-to-action will unlikely be able to reach a business over the weekend.  Businesses usually get one chance to reach prospects and get them to respond. Make the best out of it!

While it is cheaper and instantaneous to send an e-mail message to thousands of clients and prospects, getting the recipient to read and respond to the message is a challenge by itself.  Furthermore, keep in mind that e-mail marketing is permission based otherwise the recipient of the email may consider the message a spam – and categorizing a message as a spam is a major setback with major circumstances of negatively affecting a company’s reputation and image.

Keyword Density Expressed As A Percentage Of The Total Word Content

Keyword density is an indicator of the number of times the selected keyword appears in the web page. But mind you, keywords should not be over used, but should be just sufficient enough to appear at important places.

If you repeat your keywords with every other word on every line, then your site will probably be rejected as an artificial site or spam site.

Keyword density is always expressed as a percentage of the total word content on a given web page.

Suppose you have 100 words on your webpage (not including HMTL code used for writing the web page), and you use a certain keyword for five times in the content. The keyword density on that page is got by simply dividing the total number of keywords, by the total number of words that appear on your web page. So here it is 5 divided by 100 = .05. Because keyword density is a percentage of the total word count on the page, multiply the above by 100, that is 0.05 x 100 = 5%

The accepted standard for a keyword density is between 3% and 5%, to get recognized by the search engines and you should never exceed it.

Remember, that this rule applies to every page on your site. It also applies to not just to one keyword but also a set of keywords that relates to a different product or service. The keyword density should always be between 3% and 5%.

Simple steps to check the density:

1. Copy and paste the content from an individual web page into a word-processing software program like Word or Word Perfect.

2. Go to the ?Edit? menu and click ?Select All?. Now go to the ?Tools? menu and select ?Word Count?. Write down the total number of words in the page.

3. Now select the ?Find? function on the ?Edit? menu. Go to the ?Replace? tab and type in the keyword you want to find. ?Replace? that word with the same word, so you don?t change the text.

4.0 When you complete the replace function, the system will provide a count of the words you replaced. That gives the number of times you have used the keyword in that page.

5. Using the total word count for the page and the total number of keywords you can now calculate the keyword density.

Here are 5 things to consider before starting a work at home internet marketing business. You can have other work at home jobs that have nothing to do with internet marketing (such as data entry or call center jobs), but if you really want to own a business and not just a job, you are going to want to have an internet marketing business.

1. What are you going to sell? – First things first, if you are going to be an internet marketer, you need something to market. Really, there are only two options: sell something you have or sell something someone else has.

2. If you’re going to sell something you have, how are you going to do it? – Again, there are only 2 real options. You are either going to sell your good or service straight up, or you are going to have other people sell it for you. Either way, the marketing techniques will be the same (articles, ads, websites, etc.), but if you are going have affiliate sellers, you should provide them with a generous amount of materials to use in selling your product.

3. If you’re selling someone else’s product, what is it going to be? – Selling other people’s stuff essentially means you are going to be an affiliate for someone else’s business. You want to pick a product that has high relevancy, but not too much competition. The key is to find a hot niche.

4. How much money do you want to make? – If you set your financial goal upfront, then you know what you have to shoot for (e.g., how many sales you need to make). Whatever goal you set, you need to be committed to following through with whatever it takes to reach that goal. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it, but you have to truly believe that you can do it and act accordingly.

5. How many hours do you want to work? – Conventional knowledge says that the more you work, the more money you will make. That is not necessarily true in internet marketing. This consideration is really about strategy. You need to determine what your plan of attack is and how you can implement that plan in a smart, efficient way. Research methods of automating your business, and you’ll be amazed at how little time it actually takes to make money.

You Must Build a Relationship With Your Subscribers

Does your prospect have to go through all the stages where you develop more trust, to finally opt-in to your VIABLE contact list, or buy one of your products? No!

Should you make any less effort to continue building on the trust in that relationship with your prospect once they do opt-in or buy? No!

So is building a relationship with your prospect to trust you enough to give you their REAL name and REAL email address worth the time and effort? Yes!

If you offer ways to prove yourself as someone they trust sooner versus later, the extra time and effort is definitely worth it to be almost guaranteed you are going to get their real name and real email address. And if you make your content truly solutions oriented you are far more likely to have that prospect actually open and read your follow up and broadcast solicitation e-mails.

For now you just need to understand that creating a “Multi- Channel Web Activity System” is not hard, and not terribly time consuming. There is a good possibility you have most of it already in place. It just needs some revisions and edits. You just need to integrate the channels you have in place and add the channels you don’t yet have in place.

You can start your “Multi-Channel Web Activity System” with nothing more than a web site, blog, your opt-in page and your options opt-in page and build on it from there. Again, the point is to resist the temptation to drive traffic to your opt-in only page.

Please don’t think you have to follow all the advice in this eCourse in one sitting, one day or one month.
